AND JOCELYN GORDON IS HERE TO SHARE A LITTLE BIT ABOUT, UH, WHAT THAT RESOLUTION MEANS AND WHAT THE LAND BANK IS UP TO JOCELYN.

UM, SO WHAT'S ON THE RESOLUTION FOR YOU TONIGHT? I MEAN, BASICALLY WHAT OUR LAND BANK DOES IS WE DEAL WITH VACANT AND ABANDONED PROPERTIES.

SO OUR JOB IS TO RETURN THESE PROPERTIES TO PRODUCTIVE USE.

SO YOU HAVE, UH, A PROPERTY UNPLEASANT, I BELIEVE, AND BEN CAN HELP ME IF I, IF I GET LOST HERE, UH, DILAPIDATED PROPERTY, UH, THAT'S IN DISREPAIR.

MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THERE MIGHT BE, UH, AN ADJACENT NEIGHBOR WHO IS INTERESTED IN ULTIMATELY PURCHASING THE PROPERTY, BUT THAT PROPERTY IS GOING THROUGH THE FORECLOSURE PROCESS, WHICH MEANS IT'S SET TO GO TO PUBLIC AUCTION.

SO OUR LAND BANK, UH, WHAT WE DO, IF YOU NEVER REMEMBER ANYTHING ABOUT A LAND BANK, AGAIN, IS UH, LAND BANKS HAVE WHAT'S CALLED A SUPER BID.

THAT MEANS THAT IF THE TOWN INVITES US TO ATTEND THE AUCTION AND ACQUIRE THE PROPERTY, WE HAVE, UH, WHAT'S CALLED OUR, OUR SUPER BID.

WHICH MEANS THAT WHEN THE LAND BANK RAISES ITS PADDLE, NO ONE ELSE IS ALLOWED TO BID.

UH, AND WE WOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE THAT PROPERTY, UH, IN, SO THAT'S STATE LEGISLATION, NEW YORK STATE LAND BANK LAW.

SO WE'VE BEEN AROUND FOR, SINCE 2000, PRACTICING SINCE 2014.

WE'VE ACQUIRED ALMOST 200 PROPERTIES, UH, DURING THAT TIME, RETURNED ABOUT 175 OF THEM TO PRODUCTIVE USE.

SOMETIMES WE DO REHAB, SOMETIMES WE GET VACANT PROPERTIES AND PUT NEW BUILDS ON THEM.

SOMETIMES WE HELP A NEIGHBOR GET A VACANT LOT NEXT DOOR AND CREATE A SIDE YARD.

UH, MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT WE ALWAYS WORK IN, IN COMMUNICATION AND COOPERATION WITH YOUR TOWN.

SO WHATEVER IT IS THAT, THAT END USE THAT YOU'RE SEEKING IS WHAT WE'RE GONNA HELP YOU WITH.

SO IF THE DESIRE IS FOR YOU TO HAVE BEEN LIKE, WORK WITH THAT NEIGHBOR TO TRY AND MAKE THAT PROPERTY SALE WORK, WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO DO THAT.

UM, YOU MIGHT RECOGNIZE 33 WEST, UM, STREET, WHICH IS A PROPERTY, UH, THAT WE TOOK IN AND DID A FULL REHAB ON AND SOLD IT FOR $225,000 FOR LESS THAN A YEAR AGO.

SO, UM, IT WAS, UH, SOME GREAT WORK.

SO I CAN LEAVE THESE FOR YOU.

IF ANYBODY WANTS TO LOOK AT THAT LATER OR WE'RE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE.

UM, BUT WITHOUT THE LAND BANK'S INVOLVEMENT, THERE'S NO GUARANTEE THAT IT'S NOT JUST GONNA GO TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER THAT COULD BE OUT, OUT OF STATE.

RIGHT? THAT'S THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE, IS WHAT, YOU KNOW, RATHER THAN LEAVING SOMETHING TO THE RISK OF AN AUCTION, WE WILL GUARANTEE AN OUTCOME FOR YOU.

AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT WE'RE PRIORITIZING.

HOME OWNERSHIP.

WE DO NOT SELL TO OUT OF TOWN ENTITIES CANADA.

I MEAN, THIS HAPPENS A LOT IN THE CITY ABSOLUTELY.

EXCEPT BUFFALO AND OTHER URBAN AREAS.

SO, BUT, BUT THEY COULD HAPPEN HERE, UH, WITH, WITH TAX FORECLOSURES.

WELL, WITH THE PROPERTY MARKET BEING JUST AS HOT AS IT IS RIGHT NOW, I MEAN, EVERYBODY IS SPECULATING.

EVERYBODY IS WANTING TO JUST, YOU KNOW, PUT A BID ON, PUT A BID IN ON SOMETHING AND RECITE, UNSEEN AND HOLD IT, DO NOTHING, DRAIN THE EQUITY FROM IT, YOU KNOW, CREATE A RENTAL PROPERTY OR SOMETHING ELSE THAT THEY CAN JUST DRAIN EQUITY FROM.

SO THE CITY WANTS SOMETHING, THE PSE WANTS SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

WE KINDA ACT AS THAT MIDDLE MAN TO HELP EVERYBODY BE HAPPY, BUT WITHIN THE BUDGET OF THE, YOU KNOW, THE BUDGET AND THE VISION, KIND OF GOING BACK TO THAT.

SO THESE STUFF THAT HELPS US GET THROUGH A LOT OF THAT STUFF IN THE PRELIMINARY PHASES.

SO ONE OF THE THINGS THAT BOURBON STRIVES TO DO IS AN ECONOMICAL GROWING IN ARCHITECTURE.

SO IT'S NOT JUST A PRETTY PICTURE MAKING SURE THAT WE'RE ALSO BRINGING SOMETHING THAT REVITALIZES AND BRINGS QUALITY TO THE WORLD AROUND IT.

WE FIND QUALITY AND VALUE IN MEANING IN USING COMMON MATERIALS IN NEW AND COST EFFECTIVE WAYS.

UM, THE BIG THING WE ALSO LIKE TO DO IS TO CONSIDER THE SUSTAINABILITY AND DURABILITY AND RESILIENCY.

IF WE CAN GET THE PUBLIC TO THE TOWN ARENA, THEY CAN SEE THE THINGS THAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR THEM TO SUPPORT, RIGHT? THEY CAN SEE THE CONDITIONS, UNDERSTAND 'EM, WE CAN HAVE WALKTHROUGHS THAT WAY.

UM, ONE OTHER THING I'D LIKE TO POINT OUT ABOUT CONSTRUCTION IS THAT GOOD PROJECTS OR EFFECTIVE CONSTRUCTION EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION STARTS LONG BEFORE THE HAMMER STARTS SWINGING, RIGHT? IT STARTS DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS WITH MAKING GOOD DECISIONS OF HOW WE'RE GOING TO ACHIEVE THINGS.

AND FOR THAT, WE HAVE THE BENEFIT OF HAVING A SISTER COMPANY DJB BUILT, UH, WHICH FOCUSES ON OWNER'S, REPRESENTATIVE, UH, SERVICES AND CONSTRUCTABILITY REVIEWS.

THEY DO ALL OF OUR COST ESTIMATING.

AND SO THEY'RE, THEY'RE ABLE TO GIVE US CLUES WHILE WE'RE IN THE DESIGN PROCESS OF THINGS THAT THEY ARE, ARE CLUED INTO, INTO THE CONSTRUCTION WORLD.

UM, ARE, ARE WE SEEING THINGS THAT ARE LONG LEAD ITEMS WHERE WE COULD CHOOSE OTHER MATERIALS OR OTHER SYSTEMS THAT MIGHT BE FASTER, LESS EXPENSIVE, UM, OR, OR BETTER OVERALL FOR THE PROJECT? UH, THEY CAN LOOK AT OUR DETAILS AS WE'RE DEVELOPING THEM AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE, ARE RIGHT FROM A CONSTRUCTION STANDPOINT.

SO THAT'S REALLY WHEN SUCCESSFUL CONSTRUCTION STARTS IS DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS.

SO WHAT IS OUR DESIGN PROCESS AND OUR APPROACH? I GUESS THE FIRST THING THAT WE HAVE TO UNDERSTAND IS THAT THERE IS, THERE'S VARIABLES AND THERE'S CONSTANTS.

AND ONE OF THE CONSTANTS ON THIS PROJECT IS REPAIRING THE RINK, UH, WHICH STARTED OUT AS REPLACING THE, THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS. AND IN THE MOST RECENT NOTES OF, OF THE EXPECTATIONS FOR THE PROJECT WOULD BE TO ADD REPLACEMENT OF THE DASHER BOARDS AND THE RING SLAB REPLACEMENT.

SO WITH THAT, WE STARTED TALKING TO SCOTT WARD OF B 32, UH, TO UNDERSTAND EXACTLY WHAT THIS MEANT.

AND, AND THERE WERE A COUPLE OF KEY THINGS THAT HE POINTED OUT.

THIS PART OF THE ENDEAVOR ALONE IS PROBABLY ABOUT $2 MILLION OF COST BETWEEN, UH, THE NEW MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT, REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT, THE TEARING UP THE, THE EXISTING SLAB, REPLACING IT WITH THE SLAB, WITH THE COOLING SYSTEM IN IT, AND, UH, BUYING NEW DASHBOARDS.

SO WHEN WE SEE ON, ON THE LIST THAT THERE'S A $5 MILLION BUDGET FOR THIS, RIGHT OFF THE TOP, WE'VE KNOWN THAT 2 MILLION NEEDS TO BE ALLOCATED TO THIS.

SO THAT'S GONNA FACTOR INTO A LOT OF THE STEPS THAT WE TAKE AFTER THIS.

UH, THE OTHER THING THAT, THAT HE'S

MENTIONED TO US IS, IS THAT THE EQUIPMENT RIGHT NOW IS ON A, A REALLY LONG LEAD TOP.

HE'S SEEN 40 WEEKS, 50 WEEKS, THINGS OF THAT NATURE.

SO IF WE STARTED DESIGN TODAY AND RESPECTFUL OF OUR DISCUSSIONS ABOUT WHEN THIS WANTED TO HAPPEN, BECAUSE YOU WANNA MAXIMIZE THE ICE SEASON, IT, IT IS LIKELY THAT CONSTRUCTION WOULD REALLY NOT HAPPEN UNTIL SUMMER OF 2024.

UM, TO, TO JUMP IN FOR CONSTRUCTION NEXT SUMMER, WOULD NOT, UH, HAVE THE EQUIPMENT IN TIME, WHICH MEANS THAT WE WOULD THEN PUSH INTO THE, THE REVENUE SEASON OF THE ICE RINK, UH, OR HAVE TO FIND OTHER METHODS, UH, AT THAT POINT.

SO IT REALLY MAKES SENSE TO LOOK AT SUMMER OF 2024.

I MENTIONED THAT FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION.

UM, SO WHAT DID, WHAT'S THE REMAINDER IF $2 MILLION IS TIED UP IN THAT, THAT'S THE VARIABLES THAT WE WANNA DETERMINE.

SO, UH, THAT'S WHY WE THINK THAT THE FEASIBILITY STUDY IS A CRITICAL PART OF THIS, UH, BECAUSE WE, WE WANT TO ANA ANALYZE THE BUILDING AND DETERMINE WHAT WE CAN DO WITH IT.

SO WE GO THROUGH A PROCESS WITH OUR FEASIBILITY STUDIES WHERE WE WORK WITH YOU TO DETERMINE WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA, WHAT SUPPORTS SUCCESS FOR THIS PROJECT, REGARDLESS OF PERSONAL TASTE OF WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE OR, OR THIS OR THAT.

WHAT CAN WE DO TOGETHER TO, TO BE SUCCESSFUL? AND THEN HOW DO WE USE TOOLS OF DATA COLLECTION, BUILDING ANALYSIS, NEEDS, ASSESSMENT PROGRAMMING, UH, TO ESTABLISH AN IDEA AND THEN GO BACK AND MEASURE IT AGAIN AGAINST THE, THE WAY THAT WE START.

UH, THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS WITHIN THE BUILDING THAT DO NEED REPAIR, UH, WHICH IS WHY WE'RE DOING THIS PROJECT.

UM, BUT THEY ARE, UH, A, A KEY ASPECT OF HOW WE GET TO, UH, FIGURING OUT WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, WHAT IT COSTS, AND WHAT'S THE HIGHEST PRIORITY.

AND THAT GIVES A, USUALLY GIVES A CONTRACTOR PLENTY OF TIME TO, UM, START THE PROJECT IN MARCH OR APRIL WHEN YOU'RE TAKING DOWN YOUR ICE SHEET AND HAVE EQUIPMENT ORDERED AND ARRIVING IN MAY, JUNE, PLENTY OF TIME TO GET IT ALL INSTALLED AND READY TO GO FOR THE FALL.

UM, UNFORTUNATELY WITH ALL THE SUPPLY CHAIN PROBLEMS, WE'RE SEEING, UM, A FEW MAJOR PIECES OF EQUIPMENT OUT ALMOST A YEAR.

SO WE ARE BIDDING PROJECTS IN, UM,

NOW, RIGHT NOW, END OF JUNE, FIRST PART OF JULY IN ORDER TO RECEIVE IT MID MIDDLE OF 2023 OR TOWARDS THE END OF 2023, BUT JUST IN TIME TO GET UP AND RUNNING FOR THE FALL OF 2023.

SO, YOU KNOW, WE HAVE TO HAVE THE, THAT DOESN'T GIVE US ANY TIME TO DESIGN OR ANYTHING FOR THIS PROJECT.

SO REALLY, UM, UNLESS THINGS CHANGE, IT WOULD BE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO, UM, START CONSTRUCTION IN 2023 ON THE ICE SYSTEM PART OF IT ANYWAYS.

UM, YOU'RE ALMOST LOOKING AT 2024 TO START CONSTRUCTION WITHOUT INTERRUPTING YOUR REGULAR SEASON.

NOW THERE ARE OPTIONS.

I MEAN, WE COULD LOOK AT A TEMPORARY CHILLER SYSTEM FOR 2023 AND BUILD THE PERMANENT NEW REFRIGERATION SYSTEM OVER THE, THE ICE SEASON.

YOU KNOW, THAT'S A POSSIBILITY.

UM, I WILL TELL YOU THOUGH, TEMPORARY CHILLERS ARE GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO SECURE JUST BECAUSE EVERYBODY'S IN THE SAME BOAT WITH SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES.

SO, SO YEAH, UNFORTUNATELY IT'S, UM, NOT GOOD NEWS WHEN IT COMES TO REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT.

SO AS PART OF THE PRODUCT AS WELL, IT, YOU KNOW, THE RINK WOULD, WOULD REQUIRE SOME MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING UPGRADES AS WELL IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THE NEW ICE SURFACE AND THINGS LIKE THAT.

AND ERIC, DID YOU WANT TO, I COULD JUST REINFORCE WHAT SCOTT SAYS.

FROM A MECHANICAL STANDPOINT, UM, SPECIALTY EQUIPMENT LIKE DEIFICATION WITH US, THOSE ARE OUT ABOUT A YEAR RIGHT NOW, MAYBE A LITTLE BIT LESS.

UM, ELECTRICAL GEAR IS PARTICULARLY DIFFICULT TO FIND, SO SCOTT'S SEEING IT ON THE ICE EQUIPMENT.

WE'RE SEEING IT ON A KIND OF MORE MAINSTREAM, UM, MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT WHEN YOU GET INTO A PROJECT THAT IS THIS SUBSTANTIAL.

SO JUST TO KIND OF REINFORCE THAT, UH, THOSE ARE THE CHALLENGES THAT, THAT ARE OUT THERE AND, AND THE SOLUTION IS JUST HOW WE, HOW WE KIND OF COMMUNICATE TOGETHER AS A TEAM AND INCORPORATE, YOU KNOW, THOSE LONG LEADS WITH THE DESIGN AND THE OUTREACH IN ORDER TO KIND OF MAKE THE PROJECT AS A WHOLE COME IN ON THE SCHEDULE THAT WE NEED.

RIGHT? SO THAT BEING SAID, WE CAN GO AT THE SAME TIME THAT WE WOULD BE GETTING INTO THE ICE SYSTEM EQUIPMENT AND EVERYTHING ELSE.

WE'LL START TAKING A LOOK AT THE BUILDING FACILITY ITSELF, ALL THE ITEMS ON THE LIST, YOUR LOCKER ROOMS, YOUR REFEREE ROOMS, RESTROOMS, STORE SPACES, YOUR MEETINGS AND CLASSROOM SPACES WITH YOUR OFFICES, PRO SHOPS, STATE RENTALS AND CONCESSION SPACES, MAIN ENTRANCE, WHICH IS A BIG ONE.

AND, AND ALL THE ASSOCIATE MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING THAT GOES ALONG WITH THAT.

UH, AGAIN, SEPARATE TOGETHER, BUT ALL WITHIN THE SAME REALM.

WE WOULD BE DOING VERY SIMILAR, UH, MEETINGS AND, AND CONCEPT DRAWINGS AND SCHEMATIC DESIGNS AND APPROVALS.

AND WE'D BE LOOKING FOR EVERYBODY TO AGAIN, BE ON THE SAME PAGE.

AND ONCE WE'VE KIND OF COME UP WITH DESIGNS, WE MOVE ON TO THE NEXT STEP.

SO THE WAY THE SCHEDULE WORKS OUT, DO WE FORESEE IT IN THIS EARLY PHASE IS WE BEGINNING, WE KICK OFF OUR DESIGN BUILDING RIGHT, RIGHT AWAY, SAME AS SAME AS OUR ICE RINK.

THIS ONE THOUGH CAN STRETCH OUT A LITTLE BIT LONGER.

WE DON'T ANTICIPATE BEING ABLE TO PUT THAT ENTIRE WISHLIST TOGETHER FOR THE DISH YEAR EITHER.

SO IT'S NOT LIKE WE FLIP FLOP AND DO THE BUILDING FIRST AND THEN THE ICE SECOND, ALONG WITH THE, THE PUBLIC OUTREACH AND ALL THE DIFFERENT COMPONENTS THAT YOU, THAT YOU HAVE IN THIS PROJECT.

THIS WOULD BE ONE WHERE WE DO TAKE MORE OF A STEP APPROACH SIMILAR TO THE ICE, BUT A LITTLE MORE DRAWN OUT OUR BUILDING CONCEPTS.

THAT'S GONNA TAKE A LITTLE WHILE TO PUT TOGETHER, THAT'S GONNA TAKE A LITTLE WHILE TO GET ALL THE INFORMATION WE NEED FROM, YOU KNOW, THE COMMUNITY AND FROM YOURSELVES AND, AND, AND REALLY MELD THAT TOGETHER AND PUT THAT TOGETHER.

ONCE WE HAVE THOSE APPROVALS, WE STEP TO THE NEXT PHASE SCHEMATIC DESIGN, DESIGN DEVELOPMENT DOWN IN THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS WITH A, WITH AN ESTIMATED BIDDING PERIOD SOMEWHERE IN NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER.

AND THE REASON FOR THAT IS TYPICALLY THAT'S WHEN EVERYBODY ELSE SLOWS DOWN, BUT THEN ALSO AFFORDS US ENOUGH TIME TO GET CONTRACTS UNDERWAY.

UH, IT, IT ALLOWS THE CONTRACTOR TO GET THEIR SUBMITTALS INTO US SO WE CAN REVIEW ALL THE MATERIALS AND EVERYTHING THAT WE'VE ASKED FOR.

THOSE GET REVIEWED AND THEY CAN PUT THEIR ORDERS IN FOR THEIR MATERIALS.

SO THEY'LL BE READY TO GO IN APRIL WHEN THE ICE IS SHUT DOWN TO START ON THEIR CONSTRUCTION.

SO WE CAN GO TO THE NEXT ONE.

THIS KIND OF PUTS, THIS IS WHERE WE PUT BOTH TIMELINES TOGETHER.

UM, AS YOU CAN KIND OF SEE OUR, OUR ISIGHT SYSTEM GETS READY TO GO FAIRLY STRAIGHTFORWARD.

WE GET INTO OUR BUILDING CONCEPTS, WE DO BOUNCE AROUND A LITTLE BIT.

ONE THING I DO WANT TO POINT OUT THOUGH, WITH A BIT PERIOD OF JUNE FOR THE ICE SYSTEMS,

SO AS WE MOVE THROUGH OUR DESIGN ON OUR BUILDING, WE KNOW IF WE HAVE TO CUT BACK, WE HAVE TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS OR WE HAVE TO DO ANYTHING SPECIFIC, MORE MONEY, WHATEVER IT MIGHT BE, WE CAN MAKE THOSE ADJUSTMENTS SOON ENOUGH SO THAT WHEN THE, WHEN THE DOCUMENTS GO OUT, WE'RE ALL SET TO GO AND WE END UP WITH A PRODUCT THAT EVERYBODY WANTS TO SEE.

SPEAKING OF THE BUDGET, PURELY CONCEPTUAL, JUST KIND OF WANTED TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF WHERE FUNDING KIND OF USUALLY BUYS.

UH, CONSTRUCTION BUDGET IS USUALLY 85 TO 90% OF THE TOTAL, TOTAL BUDGET.

WE SET MONEY ASIDE FOR TESTING SOILS, HAZARDOUS MATERIALS, ESPECIALLY IN A BUILDING LIKE THIS, OF THIS AGE.

UH, A CONSTRUCTION CONTINGENCY FOR ANY UNFORESEEN CONDITIONS THAT COME UP AS WE GET INTO TAKING THINGS APART BEFORE WE PUT 'EM BACK TOGETHER.

AND ALSO THAT ALSO INCORPORATES DESIGN FEES, PUBLIC EDUCATION PARTICIPATION.

SO SOME OF OUR PROJECTS THAT RELATE TO THIS ONE ACTUALLY START OUT WITH HYDE PARK ICE COMPLEX UP IN NIAGARA FALLS.

THAT PROJECT WAS A FIVE MULTI-PHASE PROJECT.

WE WENT THROUGH SEVERAL ITERATIONS WITH THE TOWN.

WE WERE TALKING ABOUT BUILDING A NEW FACILITY OR RENOVATING EXISTING OR DOING THAT AT ONCE.

WE ENDED UP DOING THAT IN FIVE DIFFERENT PHASES OVER A COURSE OF ABOUT SIX YEARS.

SO WITH THAT, A LOT OF THE WORK WAS NEW LOBBY, BRAND NEW ENTRANCES.

UH, WE DID ICE UPGRADES, NEW LOCKER ROOMS. WE, WE RECONFIGURED FULL SPACE.

IT WAS IN A, IT WAS IN A, UH, PUBLIC PARK ALONG WITH AN EXISTING PARK STRUCTURE.

WE GET INTO PHASE THREE AND FOUR, WE GET TO LOCKER ROOMS. WE FLIP THEIR ONE ICE RINK OVER TO CREATE, UM, MORE OF A, YOU KNOW, UH, SEPARATION BETWEEN PUBLIC EMPLOYER, WHICH I SAW WAS ONE OF THE ITEMS THAT WAS IN YOUR LIST THAT WE WANNA MAKE PUBLIC SEEING ON ONE SIDE OF THE RINK PLAYERS AND TEAMS AND ANYBODY THAT USES THE ICE, THEY GET DIRECT ACCESS FROM THE LOCKER ROOMS. SO THAT WAS ONE OF OUR, OUR BIG, OUR BIG MOVES WAS TO ACTUALLY, UH, WE MOVED THEIR ICE RINK ABOUT 12 FEET TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN.

THEY HAD A SEATING ON BOTH SIDES.

UM, WE GOT INTO ONLY IN ICE RINK.

WE LIKE THE ONLY ONE, ONLY IN ONE FOR THIS.

IT'S VERY SIMILAR TO THE RINK THAT YOU HAVE HERE.

ONE OF THE, UH, BIG COMPONENTS KIND OF THAT'S SIMILAR TO YOURS WAS THE ADDITION IN, IN THE BACK HERE OF CONFERENCE ROOMS, ICE SKATING, UM, SKATE RENTAL OFFICES ALONG WITH THEIR DEHUMIDIFICATION UNITS, WHICH ARE OFF THE ONE SIDE, VERY SIMILAR TO THE ROOM THAT YOU HAVE HERE, THE LAYOUT THAT YOU HAVE AND THE STYLE OF WORK THAT YOU HAVE HERE.

CHIEF DAGA, CHIEF DEGA WAS A, WE REPLACED, UH, THEIR ICE ICE EQUIPMENT ROOM ALONG WITH THEIR, THEIR ICE OR THE, THE RINK FLOOR AND THEIR DASHER BOARDS.

THE DASHBOARDS WERE A LATE EDITION AT FIRST.

THEY DIDN'T WANNA DO IT.

UH, BUT THEN THEY, YOU KNOW, THEY REALIZED THAT THEIR BOARDS HAD KIND OF REACHED THE END OF THEIR LIFECYCLE.

AND IN ABOUT MID CONSTRUCTION WE KINDA, WE PULLED A FAST ONE AND WE WERE ABLE TO GET THEM NEW BOARDS ALONG WITH THE NEW BLEACHERS.

THEIR BLEACHERS WERE, UH, NOT 80 DA COMPLIANCE.

WE DID PUT IN A SET OF NEW BLEACHERS FOR THEM, INCORPORATED STORAGE BELOW THEY DID, THEY HAD STORAGE NEEDS.

VERY SIMILAR TO HERE, A COUPLE EXTRA PROJECTS.

NORTH TOWN CENTER OR WHICH PEPSI CENTER.

WE DID A FIFTH AND SIXTH PL SIX PAD STUDY WITH LOCKER ROOMS IN A BRAND NEW ENTRANCE OFF THE BACKSIDE OF WHERE THE PARKING IS, WHERE THEIR SECONDARY PARKING LOT IS.

UM, THAT ONE IS STILL KIND OF WAITING IN THE WINGS.

YEP.

AND THEN NIRE UNIVERSITY DWYER WAS ONE OF OUR FIRST RANKS THAT WE DID WHERE WE DID ADDITIONAL SEATING, PRESIDENTIAL SUITES, PARTY SUITES, THE CONCESSION STANDS AND STORAGE FACILITIES.

SO OUR REASON FOR HIGHLIGHTING ALL THESE PROJECTS WAS THE, THEY CONTAINED A LOT OF THE COMPONENTS THAT, THAT YOU SEEM TO NEED HERE FOR YOURS.

SO WE, WE'VE SEEN A LOT.

WE'VE BEEN THROUGH A LOT.

AND AT THIS POINT, I'M GONNA TURN IT OVER TO SCOTT FOR YOUR EXPERIENCE.

YEAH, I'M JUST GONNA BRIEFLY, UH, OUTLINE A COUPLE PROJECTS, RENOVATION PROJECTS THAT ARE, WOULD BE SIMILAR, IS SIMILAR TO THIS PROJECT.

AND NORTH BUFFALO ICE RINK, UM, WAS A RENOVATION OF THE ICE SYSTEM, UH, NEW ICE RINK FLOOR, NEW DASHER BOARDS, NEW REFRIGERATION SYSTEM.

UH, THEY WENT WITH AN AMMONIA REFRIGERATION SYSTEM WE NEEDED TO INCORPORATE OR MAKE SURE IT FITS IN THE EXISTING REFRIGERATION ROOM.

UPGRADED, UH, THAT REFRIGERATION ROOM TO MEET ALL THE CODE REQUIREMENTS AND SO FORTH NEEDED FOR THE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM.

UM, THAT PROJECT WENT, UH, VERY SMOOTHLY.

UM, CENTENNIAL SPORTS ARENA, THIS IS A PROJECT IN, UH, TWIN CITIES IN MINNESOTA.

UM, THIS WAS A RENOVATION PROJECT OF AN EXISTING FACILITY.

THEY HAD AN OLYMPIC SIZE ICE SHEET, WHICH WAS A HUNDRED FOOT WIDE ICE RINK FLOOR.

THEY WANTED TO BRING IT DOWN TO NHL SIZE OR STANDARD SIZE, WHICH IS 85 FEET.

SO THE ICE RINK FLOOR WAS REPLACED.

NEW DASHBOARD SYSTEM AND THEN A NEW REFRIGERATION SYSTEM.

AND WE CREATED A NEW MECHANICAL ROOM INSIDE THEIR EXISTING BUILDING, UM, BECAUSE THE EXISTING ROOM WASN'T LARGE ENOUGH.

SO WE FOUND SPACE THAT WE COULD CARVE OUT, WHICH IS PRETTY COMMON.

UM, WITH RENOVATION PROJECTS.

IF, IF THE ROOM ISN'T LARGE ENOUGH, USUALLY WE CAN FIND SOME SPACE TO MAKE IT LARGE ENOUGH TO ACCOMMODATE, UM, THE NEW REFRIGERATION SYSTEM.

AND THEN JUST A, A NEW PROJECT THAT WE DID A FEW YEARS AGO IS KOHE UNIVERSITY.

UM, THIS WAS A HEAT PUMP TYPE SYSTEM, UM, WHERE IT USED A SYNTHETIC TYPE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM.

ALL OF THESE PROJECTS THAT USE WASTE HEAT RECOVERY, MAXIMIZE WASTE, HEAT RECOVERY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO MINIMIZE, UM, ENERGY USE.

AND UH, THIS ONE ALSO HAD OBVIOUSLY A NEW ICE FLOOR AND A NEW DASHBOARD SYSTEM AS WELL.

I'LL JUST TOUCH REAL QUICK, I KNOW WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME.

UM, YOU CAN SEE THE PROJECT AT THE TOP.

WE'VE WORKED CLOSELY WITH ON THOSE THREE.

THEY WERE REALLY SUCCESSFUL FOR US.

WE ALSO WORKED WITH D 32 ON THE NORTH BUFFALO.

UM, THAT'S ONE WHERE AGAIN, WE DID A LOT OF ENERGY RECOVERY, UH, TREMENDOUS OPPORTUNITY IN SYSTEMS. UH, ANECDOTALLY TOO, I JUST WANNA SAY I WAS A HAWK IN THE LATE EIGHTIES SITES.

SO AS ERIC SAID, I MEAN WE'VE BEEN DOING WORK WITH ME ON THESE S IN THE PAST 12, ALMOST 13 YEARS NOW.

UM, AND, AND NOW WITH SCOTT WITH HIS EXPERTISE.

UM, GETTING INTO REAL QUICK WITH THE QA, THE QC, GETTING INTO CONSTRUCTION, WE HAVE OUR OWN TEAM OF CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION, UH, FOLKS THAT WE USE ON ALL OF OUR PROJECTS.

THEY ARE OUR EYES AND OUR EARS OUT ON THE PROJECT.

SO THEY WOULD BE OUT ON THE PROJECT FULL TIME.

SO THERE'S, THERE'S A SET OF CHECKS AND BALANCES, UH, REGULATED BY CODES, REGULATED BY ORGANIZATIONS NATIONWIDE THAT THEY, THEY REALLY, UM, THE WORD THEY , THEY UH, THEY SOLIDIFY EVERYTHING FOR US SO THAT YOU'RE GETTING THE QUALITY THAT YOU EXPECT THAT WE BID OUT, THAT YOU PAID FOR.

AND, UH, FOR THE FIRST YEAR WE'RE, WE'RE NOW GETTING COMPLIMENTS, UM, ON THE, THE CAR PATH AS OPPOSED TO COMPLAINTS.

SO, UH, IT'S OBVIOUSLY WORKING AS WELL AS, UH, SOME OF THE OTHER INITIATIVES, UM, IN TERMS OF MOVING THE HOLES ON THE GREENS.

IT WAS A, IT WAS A GREAT CEREMONY.

UM, WE, WE CERTAINLY HAVE A, A LOT TO BE PROUD OF WITH OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH SPECIAL OLYMPICS.

UM, I ALSO AM, UM, HAPPY TO REPORT THAT, UH, THIS PAST THURSDAY WE HOSTED HAMBURG, HOSTED THE ASSOCIATION OF ERIE COUNTY GOVERNMENTS, UM, AT THE, UM, LOWER BANK COUNTRY CLUB.

UH, AND THIS IS A MONTHLY MEETING, UH, WHERE WE HAVE GOVERNMENTS, LOCAL GOVERNMENTS FROM ALL OVER ERIE COUNTY.

AND THE TOPIC OF CONVERSATION AND PRESENTATION HAD TO DO WITH ELECTRICAL VEHICLES, CHARGING STATIONS, AS WELL AS, UH, FLEET ELECTRIFICATION.

UH, VERY INTERESTING PRESENTATION, LOTS OF OPPORTUNITIES AND SOME GRANTS THAT ARE OUT THERE, UM, TO HELP US BECOME A, A CLEANER, GREENER COMMUNITY.

UM, I ALSO, UH, WOULD LIKE TO, TO REPORT THAT I'VE, I'VE HAD SEVERAL INTERESTING CONVERSATIONS WITH OTHER MUNICIPALITIES.

UM, OUR HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT AND HUGHES AND MYSELF HAVE BEEN TALKING AS WELL ABOUT COMPOSTING WHAT WE DO WITH OUR, OUR, OUR, OUR BRUSH, UM, AND HOW WE CAN DIVERT, UH, WASTE FROM, FROM LANDFILLS.

IT'S MY UNDERSTANDING THAT NEW YORK STATE WILL RUN OUT OF LANDFILL SPACE IN SEVEN YEARS.

SO, UH, WE'RE GONNA HAVE TO MAKE SOME BIG CHANGES.

AND THERE'S BIG CHANGES THAT ARE GONNA BE REQUIRED OF, OF BUSINESSES AS WELL AS MUNICIPALITIES.

UH, RECENTLY THE ERIE COUNTY COMPTROLLER,

KEVIN HARDWICK HAS CONVENED, UM, SOME LEADERS FROM LOCAL MUNICIPALITIES TO SEE WHAT WE CAN DO TO WORK TOGETHER REGIONALLY TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE.

THERE'S CERTAINLY, UM, UH, A COST EFFECTIVE OPPONENT AS WELL AS, UH, AN ENVIRONMENTAL, UH, COMPONENT.

AND THERE THERE COULD VERY WELL BE SOME, SOME OPPORTUNITIES.

AT THE SAME TIME, I HAVE BEEN HEARING FROM SIGNIFICANTLY AN INCREASING NUMBER OF RESIDENTS WHO WOULD LIKE TO, UH, TAKE A LOOK AT HOW WE COLLECTIVELY AS THE TOWN OF HAMBURG, UH, ADDRESS, UH, REFUSE AND, AND GARBAGE COLLECTION.

FOLKS MAY REMEMBER THAT IN 2005, THE, THE TOWN OF HAMBURG HAD A REFERENDUM ON A SINGLE, UH, TOWN WIDE GARBAGE DISTRICT, UM, AND THAT, UH, THAT REFERENDUM FAILED.

UM, HOWEVER, I THINK THERE'S, IT'S A DIFFERENT TIME.

THE COST OF, UH, GARBAGE, UH, SERVICES HAVE HAVE RISEN SUBSTANTIALLY.

AND I, I HEAR FROM MULTIPLE RESIDENTS EACH WEEK, UH, THAT THEY WOULD LIKE THE TOWN TO TAKE ANOTHER LOOK AT THIS ISSUE.

UM, AND THEN FINALLY, UM, I, I JUST WANT TO REPORT.

I, I WENT TO, UH, THE TOWN PARK THIS AFTERNOON, UH, BECAUSE I WAS, I WAS MEETING A, A CONSTITUENT NEAR THE LAKE.

UH, I SWUNG BY AND TO WATCH THE TRANSFORMATION OF THAT BEACH, UM, THROUGH THE SEASON.

I'VE ENJOYED THAT BEACH MY WHOLE LIFE, BUT I SHOW UP ON MEMORIAL DAY AND, AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL.

BUT I WAS ABLE TO LOOK AT THAT BEACH IN FEBRUARY AND MARCH OF THIS YEAR, AND IT'S, IT'S REMARKABLE.

UM, SO KUDOS TO THE BUILDINGS, THE GROUND STAFF, UM, AS WELL AS THE LIFEGUARDS WHO ARE KEEPING OUR, OUR COMMUNITY SAFE OUT THERE.
