UM, SO AS MOST OF YOU KNOW, I'M HERE TO PRESENT THE, UH, TOWN OF HAMBURG RECREATION CENTER, UM, WHICH IS GOING TO BE AT THE, UH, CURRENT, UH, HAMBURG RECREATION FACILITY THAT THE ICE RINK IS LOCATED ON.

SO TO ORIENT EVERYBODY, UM, DOWN HERE IS, UH, LAKEVIEW ROAD, AND THIS IS THE EXISTING DRIVE COMING INTO THE COMPLEX.

UM, UP HERE TO THE TOP IS THE CURRENT ICE RINK, AND THEN WHERE WE'RE PROPOSING THE BUILDING TO BE LOCATED IS ON THE EXISTING LACROSSE FIELD THAT WILL BE RELOCATED ELSEWHERE.

UM, ON THIS SITE, I'LL JUST POINT OUT A COUPLE OF THE AMENITIES AND THEN YOU CAN SEE THEM LATER ON AS WE GET INTO SOME OF THE RENDERING.

BUT, UM, WHAT WE'VE DONE IS WE'VE KIND OF ADDED SOME PARKING AROUND THE BUILDING.

WE HAVE A NICE LITTLE, UH, GROVE AREA IN THE FRONT WHERE WE COULD DO LIKE COMMUNITY GARDENS.

WE COULD DO WHATEVER, A A, A, A FIRE PIT IS WHAT WE'RE SHOWING.

WE HAVE A BUNCH OF CABLE BALL PORTS.

WE HAVE, WE HAVE SOME OUTDOOR AMENITIES.

WE PROPOSED KIND OF A SLEDDING HILL IN THE BACK THAT WE COULD USE SOME OF THE, UM, SOIL THAT WE DIG UP FROM THE FOUNDATIONS FOR SO THAT WE DON'T HAVE TO TRUCK IT OFF SITE.

AND THEN TO THE SOUTH, THERE'LL BE SOME, UH, RETENTION FOR SOME WATER.

UH, WE'RE NOT SHOWING ANY OF THE VEGETATION THAT WE'RE PLANNING ON DOING ON THE SITE JUST YET, BUT AS WE GET FURTHER ALONG INTO THE PLANS, YOU WILL SEE MORE OF THAT START TO POP UP.

SO, UM, AGAIN, JUST TO ORIENT ICE RINK UP TOP, UM, BASEBALL DIAMONDS DOWN LOW.

THIS IS THE ENTRY PARKING DRIVE, AND THEN THIS IS THE BACK OF THE BUILDING, UM, WHERE I'LL GET INTO IN A SECOND.

BUT BASICALLY AS UM, SENIORS OR COMMUNITY MEMBERS COME INTO THE, INTO THE FACILITY, THEY'LL WALK DOWN THIS NICE COVERED PATHWAY THAT KIND OF LEADS INTO THIS VESTIBULE AREA, AND THEN THEY'LL BE, UH, GREETED BY A RECEPTIONIST.

UM, YOU CAN EITHER SPLIT OFF TO THE RIGHT TO HEAD TO THE GYMNASIUM AREA OR TO THE LEFT, WHICH IS MORE OF LIKE YOUR WORK ROOMS. SO WORKING FROM PLAN SOUTH, WE HAVE THE OFFICES FOR, UM, YOU KNOW, WORKSPACE FOR THE TOWN TO RUN THE FACILITY AND ALL OF THEIR FACILITIES.

WE HAVE A NICE MULTIPURPOSE ROOM.

AND THEN WE HAVE A SERIES OF CLASSROOMS DOWN THE BOTTOM WITH SMALL ACTIVITY ROOMS, LARGE ACTIVITY ROOMS. WE HAVE A CAFETERIA AND A KITCHEN IN THE BACK, UM, ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THAT HALLWAY.

UM, LIKE I SAID, IT'S THE MULTI FABRICS ROOM.

WE HAVE SOME BATHROOMS AND A NEW FITNESS AREA.

UM, AS WE WORK PLAN NORTH, WE HAVE, UH, A KIND OF GATEWAY INTO THE GYMNASIUM, AND THEN WE HAVE THE TWO LOCKER ROOMS AND THE BUILDING AND GROUND SPACE.

UM, SOME OF THE STUFF WHERE WE'RE STILL WORKING ON SOME DETAILS ON, SO DON'T LOOK TOO CLOSELY, BUT, UM, THE GENERAL CONCEPT IS THERE.

AND THEN THE ONLY THING I LEFT OFF WAS THE BACKSPACE.

UM, WE HAVE A COVERED PATIO SPACE THAT COULD BE USED FOR VARIOUS THINGS, ANSWER RECITALS, CONCERTS, WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO.

LYNN, THAT BACKSPACE.

ANY QUESTIONS? COULD YOU COMMENT A LITTLE BIT ON THE CAPABILITIES OF THE GYMNASIUM SPACE? YOU KNOW, THE HEIGHT, WHAT IT WOULD, UH, ALLOW FOR, UM, WHAT SPORTS, PICKLEBALL, NUMBER OF COURTS, THINGS LIKE THAT, THAT, THAT SIZE, UH, WOULD BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE? SURE.

SO I, I BELIEVE WE'RE PLANNING ON A 22 TO 24 FOOT HIGH CEILING SPACE.

SO WE'VE KIND OF SIZED THIS AROUND A HIGH SCHOOL, UM, BASKETBALL COURT THAT HAS SOME SEATING ON ONE SIDE AND SOME PLAYER AND COACHES SPACE ON THE OTHER.

AND YOU CAN DO ALL OF THOSE THINGS, UM, YOU JUST MENTIONED.

SO, UM, I BELIEVE THAT WE COULD FIT AT LEAST TWO, IF NOT THREE PICKLE BALL COURTS ON THE INSIDE.

AND REALLY, I MEAN, YOU COULD DO ANYTHING YOU COULD DO IN A GYM HERE.

UM, THERE'S REALLY NO RESTRICTION.

SO BASED ON THE GYM GYMNASIUM THAT WE CURRENTLY HAVE, THE CURRENT COMMUNITIES, OUR SENIOR CENTER, THIS WILL BE THE SAME SIZE OR BIGGER.

AND WILL THIS SPACE HAVE THE ABILITY TO BE EVEN SUBDIVIDED INTO, UM, TWO SMALL, IF THERE WERE TWO ACTIVITIES IT CAN.

SO YES, WE DID TALK ABOUT PUTTING A DIVIDER IN HERE THAT COULD BE OPENED OR CLOSED TO USE IT SIDE SIDE IF YOU HAVE THAT.

AND IS THERE ENOUGH SPACE, UM, SO THAT EVEN INDIVIDUALS COULD BE WALKING AROUND THE OUTSIDE, FOR EXAMPLE.

UM, WE BASICALLY MADE A, LIKE A BUS LOOP OR DROP OFF LOOP THAT, UM, YOU CAN BRING ANY KIND OF VEHICLE THROUGH THERE, DROP THEM RIGHT OFF, MAYBE A, A 20 FOOT, 25 FOOT SPACE OF NON-COVERED, UM, THAT'S BASICALLY GETTING YOU THROUGH THE PARKING SPACE AND THEN RIGHT AT, RIGHT AT THAT SIDEWALK LINE, IT'LL BE COVERED.

AND THEN THERE'S ALSO A SECONDARY OPTION, UM, IF YOU WANTED A LESS WALKING OPTION WHERE WE HAVE A DOOR OUT FRONT AND THAT IS RIGHT HERE.

THAT COULD ALSO SERVE AS A DROP OFF AREA AS WELL IF SOMEBODY WAS GOING TO ONE OF THESE ROOMS. AND THAT WAS WHAT LEADING TO THEM.

UM, AND BASICALLY IT IS TWO SEPARATE BUILDINGS, TWO SEPARATE, UM, PREFABRICATED BUILDINGS.

YOU HAVE ONE FOR THE GYMNASIUM AND THAT'S TO KIND OF ACCOUNT FOR THE HIGHER WALLS THAT WE NEED TO DO ALL OF THE ACTIVITY IN THERE.

AND THEN WE HAVE A LOWER SPACE OVER HERE.

UM, WE DO HAVE THESE BUILDINGS DESIGNED IN SUCH A WAY THAT, YOU KNOW, IF BUDGET OF SOMETHING GOT OUT OF WHACK, WE COULD DO ONE OF THEM AND NOT DO THE OTHER ONE.

UM, IF THAT WAS SOMETHING THAT WE HAD TO LOOK AT, UM, DOWN THE ROAD.

BUT WHAT YOU'RE SEEING IS THAT COMMUNITY GARDEN I WAS TALKING ABOUT BEFORE AND SOME KIND OF SPACE, YOU COULD PUT SOME TABLES, SOME OUTDOOR HANGOUT SPACE FOR PEOPLE.

UM, DOWN THE SIDE WE HAVE TWO PICKLEBALL COURTS OF THE GYM, AND THEN THAT FEEDS INTO THAT BACK AREA THAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT BEFORE.

UM, OVER HERE YOU HAVE THE COVERED WALKWAY AND THEN THIS IS THAT SECONDARY DROP OFF POINT, A LITTLE BIT FURTHER DOWN THE WAY.

UM, BOTH OF THESE SPACES, WE HAVE SOME NICE CLEAR STORIES TO BRING IN SOME DAYLIGHT INTO THE INSIDE OF THE BUILDING.

AND THEN, UH, SAME OVER HERE IS WE HAVE A NICE CLEAR STORY THAT BRINGS IT DOWN INTO THAT MAIN ACTIVITY CORRIDOR.

SO IT'S NICE AND DAY LIT.

I LOVE THAT THERE'S A SIDE DOOR OFF THE SIDE OF THE GYMNASIUM THAT GOES RIGHT OUT TO THE PICKLEBALL COURTS.

SO IF YOU'RE USING THE COURTS, YOU COULD COME RIGHT INSIDE TO THE LOCKER ROOMS AND CLEAN UP AFTERWARDS, BEFORE YOU GO TO YOUR NEXT ACTIVITY.

I, I THINK THAT'S GREAT AND WE'LL BE SUPER HELPFUL WHEN WE HAVE SUMMER PROGRAMMING THERE FOR THE YOUTH BECAUSE IT GIVES THE REC STAFF AN OPPORTUNITY TO USE THE ENTIRE CAMPUS, BUT NOT, UH, SUPER RESTRICT.

THE FACT THAT YOU WERE ABLE TO INCORPORATE A LOT OF COVERED SPACE, BEING THAT IT'S FOR SENIORS, BUT EVEN FOR FAMILIES WHO MIGHT WANNA JUST HANG OUT THERE AND WATCH WHOEVER'S ON THE PICKLEBALL COURT.

YOU KNOW, WE HAVE COVERED, YOU KNOW, BOTH THE COVERED AREA IN THE BACK, THE COVERED AREA IN THE FRONT.

WE HAVE, YOU KNOW, AREAS FOR TABLES WITH UMBRELLAS, YOU KNOW, THINKING ABOUT, ABOUT THE SHADE THAT'S NEEDED.

SO I LIKE THE WAY IT INCORPORATES ALL OF THOSE DIFFERENT POSSIBILITIES AND THAT FLOW FROM INSIDE OUTSIDE.

YOU ALSO NOTICE, UM, TO YOUR POINT, FRANK AND, AND DAN, THAT THE BACK COVERED AREA, ACTUALLY THAT DOOR THAT IS RIGHT THERE GOES INTO THE KITCHEN PREP AREA ADJACENT TO THE CAFETERIA.

AND THAT WAS ALL PART OF THE DESIGN THAT THE, IT REALLY OPENED UP MANY POSSIBILITIES FOR THE FUTURE, NOT NECESSARILY KNOWING WHAT THOSE MIGHT BE, BUT IT, IT ALLOWS FOR ALL OF THAT.

EVEN THE WAY THEY HAVE POSITIONED WHERE THE DOORS ARE IN SOME OF THE INTERIOR HALLWAYS ALLOWS SECTIONS OF THE BUILDING TO BE CORDONED OFF ON THE WEEKEND WHEN WE MIGHT WANT TO UTILIZE THE GYM IN THE MULTI-PURPOSE AREA FOR RENTAL, BUT YET WE WANNA BE ABLE TO CORDON OFF THE REST OF THE BUILDING.

SO THERE WERE A LOT OF THOUGHT, THOUGHT, UH, THERE WAS A LOT OF THOUGHT AND, AND MANY OF THE DETAILS THAT ARE THERE I THINK REALLY SHOW WHAT AN INCREDIBLY GOOD USE OF SPACE.

THIS IS THE OTHER POINT, UM, FOR IN THE BACK THERE, WE'RE ACTUALLY GOING WITH CARINA WOOD AND MAKE SURE THAT IT IS THE SIZE THAT WE CAN ACTUALLY PURCHASE THOSE, UM, WHAT TO CALL BUT FLAPS THAT YOU, SO YOU CAN UTILIZE IT SAY DURING THE WINTER WE COULD, UM, YOU KNOW, WE COULD GET ALL WITH FLAPS KIND OF LIKE YOU SEE AT THE AVANTI MANSION, YOU KNOW HOW THEY HAVE, WE HAVE THE BLACK WINDOWS.

UM, I JUST WANT TO THANK, UH, MANINI AND THE TRAFFIC SAFETY ADVISORY BOARD FOR ALL OF THEIR EFFORT, ESPECIALLY MOST RECENTLY WITH, UM, THEY PLEADED WITH THE STATE OF NEW YORK, AGAIN WITH OUR SITUATION ON CAMP ROAD IN THE HOWARD ROAD AREA, AND THEY REALLY DID A GREAT JOB TRYING TO PLEAD OUR CASE, UH, ONCE MORE TO THE STATE.

IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT THEY HAVE DETERMINED THAT WE'RE NOT GOING TO GET AN ADDITIONAL SIGNAL THERE, BUT I KNOW THAT MATT AND THE TRAFFIC SAFETY ADVISORY BOARD WILL STAY ON

TOP OF IT AS THEY COME ALONG AND THEY THANK THEM FOR THAT ON BEHALF OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE TOWN, THEY REALLY ARE WATCHING OUT FOR YOU AND NOT JUST THERE, BUT THEY CONTINUE TO LOOK AT ALL AREAS THROUGHOUT OUR TOWN ADDRESSING A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT MOBILITY AND CONNECTIVITY ISSUES.

UH, WE'RE WORKING ON LAKE AVENUE ON SOUTH PARK ON, UM, LACY ROAD.

THERE'S A, THERE'S A LONG LIST OF PROJECTS THAT THEY ARE CONSTANTLY REASSESSING AND LOOKING FOR HOW THEY CAN ADDRESS, LOOKING FOR, YOU KNOW, LOOKING WITH ARE PARTNERS WHO ARE SEEKING FUNDING, ET CETERA.

SO I JUST WANTED TO THANK THEM FOR THEIR DILIGENCE AND THEIR ONGOING EFFORTS ON BEHALF OF, OF THE TOWN.

THE HAMBURG ONE, UM, DOES HAVE THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR IS COMING IN FOR A JOB FAIR ON MARCH 26TH FROM 10 TO 1:00 PM SO IF ANYBODY IS IN THE JOB HUNT RIGHT NOW, OR AS SOMEBODY IN THEIR HOME IN THE JOB HUNT, UM, IT'S MARCH 26TH FROM 10 TO 1:00 PM THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR IS GOING TO BE HAVING A JOB THERE AT THE HAMBURG LIBRARY THAT THE BRANCH IS LOCATED IN THE VILLAGE OF HAMBURG.

UH, I JUST ALSO WANTED TO THANK THE TOM FOR GIVING MYSELF AND COUNCIL MEMBER FARRELL AND SUPERVISOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND THE ASSOCIATION OF TOWNS MEETING.

I KNOW I FOUND IT EXTREMELY INFORMATIVE.

I REALLY APPRECIATED LEARNING SOME BEST PRACTICES, UM, HIRING AND RECRUITMENT, BUT ALSO IMPORTANT TOPICS LIKE CODE AND DEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING ISSUES THAT ARE FACING NOT JUST OUR COMMUNITY, BUT COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE STATE AND THE BEST WAY TO LEGALLY HANDLE THOSE ISSUES, BUT ALSO ENCOURAGE GROWTH IN A MINDFUL MANNER, UM, AND REALLY PLAN FOR LONG TERM SUCCESS FOR YOUR COMMUNITY.

SO I THOUGHT ALL OF THE SEMINARS, WELL, VERY, VERY LONG DAY.

I THINK I WAS THERE FROM, UM, SEVEN 30 TO FIVE 30 MOST DAYS.

THERE'S NO BREAK JUST GOING STRAIGHT FROM CLASS TO CLASS TO CLASS.

IT WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL, UM, LISTENING TO THE EXPERTS SPEAK AND LISTENING TO THE OTHER COMMUNITIES TALK ABOUT THEIR SUCCESSES OR THE PITFALLS THEY HAD WHEN THEY TRIED TO IMPLEMENT SOMETHING THAT WE DON'T MAKE THOSE THINGS DO.

THAT'S IT.

UH, BUT I DO WANNA SAY THAT WE AS A BOARD, I'M PROUD THAT WE CAME TOGETHER PRETTY MUCH EVERY ISSUE, BUT WITH THE, WITH THE CORRECTION OFFICERS.

I KNOW THAT, UH, UH, MR. SPOKE, UM, IN MY CAPACITY AS BEING A DEFENSE LAWYER, I GO TO THESE JAILS A LOT AND, YOU KNOW, THERE'S A LOT GOING ON RIGHT NOW, UM, AS FAR AS THE HAL ACT AND SO FORTH.

AND, UM, I'M PROUD AS THE BOARD THAT WE'RE SUPPORTING THE CORRECTION OFFICERS WITH, UH, WITH, WITH THEIR PLIGHT.

I MEAN, THE, THE STATE HAS TAKEN A LOT OF THINGS AWAY FROM THEIR ABILITY, DISCIPLINE INMATES, UM, AND RECLASSIFIED INMATES THAT WOULD PERHAPS IN THE PAST MAXIMUM SECURITY FOR THE MEDIUM AND SO FORTH.

SO I'M HAPPY, UH, AND I WANNA THANK MY COLLEAGUE FOR, UH, BEING ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THIS ISSUE, SUPPORTING THE CORRECTION OFFICERS AND WE'LL CONTINUE TO, UM, SUPPORT THEM AND HOPEFULLY THE STATE WILL LISTEN TO THE CORRECTION OFFICERS, OUR BOARD AND THE COUNTY LEADERS AS WELL.
