IT IS FULL STEAM AHEAD FOR THE DESIGNATION.AND MAYBE YOU'RE NOT AWARE, MARGARET, BUT THERE WERE FOUR REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION GROUP THAT MET. I ORGANIZED THE MEETING. THEY CAME AND THEY MET WITH THE OWNERS OF THE BAYVIEW. AND WE SAT AROUND A TABLE AND IT IS FULL STEAM AHEAD. WE HAVE THE OWNERS ARE ON BOARD. THEY WANTED TO WORK WITH THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION GROUP, AND WE HAVE A DRAFT BACK FROM THEM FOR THE DESIGNATION. AND SO THE PROCESS IS FULL STEAM AHEAD. SOMETIMES IT SEEMS LIKE IT TAKES A LITTLE WHILE, BUT ALL GOOD THINGS SOMETIMES DO TAKE A LITTLE BIT OF TIME. BUT WE WILL WE WILL GET THERE. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU TO CJ BOSWELL IN OUR BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS DEPARTMENT. HE IS NOW OUR GROUNDSKEEPER AT THE GOLF COURSE. BUT CJ, CJ RECEIVED A BIG THANK YOU THIS LAST WEEK FROM HAMBURG TRAILS. I MET WITH THE HEAD OF THE HAMBURG TRAILS GROUP AND THROUGHOUT THIS LAST YEAR, HAMBURG TRAILS HAD MET WITH THE TOWN BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO RESTART A PROGRAM THAT TOOK PLACE SEVERAL YEARS AGO AT OUR GOLF COURSE DURING THE WINTER, WHICH ALLOWED FOR THERE TO BE TRAILS SET UP AND FOR INDIVIDUALS IN OUR COMMUNITY TO BE ABLE TO SNOWSHOE AND CROSS-COUNTRY SKI DURING THE WINTER, AND CJ AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE DEPARTMENT MET WITH HAMBURG TRAILS AND MYSELF. AND WE WORKED ON THE PLAN. WE WORKED OUT, YOU KNOW, WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE MARKING THE TRAILS. THEY THEY DID A TERRIFIC JOB. IT WAS A SUCCESS THIS SEASON AND THEY HAD A LOT OF POSITIVE RESPONSE. THEY CAME IN AND MET WITH ME LAST WEEK AND THEY JUST WANTED TO OFFER THEIR THANKS. AND I'D LIKE TO ADD THE BOARD'S THANKS TO CJ BECAUSE THEY SAID THE PROCESS WAS FACILITATED BY HIS PROFESSIONALISM, HIS DEDICATION, AND THAT THEY REALLY FELT THAT THE SUCCESS THIS SEASON WAS LARGELY IN PART OF BECAUSE OF HIS EFFORTS. SO. AND IF YOU WOULD CONVEY OUR THANKS TO CJ, HE'S A REAL GO GETTER. HE IS. THIRD, WE WOULD LIKE TO START DOING THIS ON A MORE REGULAR BASIS. WE DEVELOPED A CERTIFICATE. WE FREQUENTLY FIND OUT ABOUT BUSINESSES IN OUR COMMUNITY AND WE. AND WE WANT TO DO EVERYTHING THAT WE CAN TO SUPPORT OUR BUSINESS COMMUNITY. IN HAMBURG ESPECIALLY, WE HAVE MANY BUSINESSES THAT START OUT WITH AN IDEA WITH SOMEONE'S DREAM AND. AND THEY WANT TO NURTURE AND FACILITATE THAT DREAM IN THERE. AND IT GROWS. WE HAVE SO MANY SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSES IN THIS TOWN THAT STARTED SMALL AND THEY'VE GOTTEN MUCH LARGER, OR THEY'VE JUST HAVE BECOME MAINSTAYS IN OUR BUSINESS COMMUNITY. SO WE FREQUENTLY WILL GET INVITED TO A RIBBON CUTTING WHEN A BUSINESS IS REOPENING OR A NEW BUSINESS IS JOINING THE COMMUNITY. SO WE WOULD LIKE TO START, WHENEVER POSSIBLE TO RECOGNIZE THEM AT OUR TOWN BOARD MEETINGS RECENTLY, THE MERGE METHOD HAD THEIR GRAND OPENING. SO WE DO HAVE A CERTIFICATE THAT WE'LL BE SENDING TO THEM. AND AS OTHER BUSINESSES COME INTO OUR COMMUNITY OR REOPEN, WE WILL.

DURING COVID, IT ACTUALLY ALLOWED ME THE OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE MY WORK HOURS, LIKE MANY OF US WERE, WERE SOMEWHAT ALTERED AT TIMES.SO I WAS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY DURING COVID TO DELIVER MEALS. AND IT WAS A VERY GRATIFYING EXPERIENCE. SO WHEN I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY THIS LAST WEEK TO JOIN AGAIN IN DELIVERING MEALS WITH WITH FEEDMORE, I WAS THRILLED TO BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE AND TO BE ABLE TO GO OUT AND NOT ONLY DELIVER MEALS, BUT THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH SENIOR MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY TO TO TALK WITH THEM TO, YOU KNOW, SHARE THOUGHTS JUST ON THE DAY IT IT REALLY WAS A JOYFUL EXPERIENCE. SO SOMEWHAT, WHAT WITH YOU WERE SAYING, LYNN, AND IT IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY, PLEASE REMEMBER. FEEDMORE THINK ABOUT THE SENIORS IN OUR COMMUNITY. THEY LOVE SEEING SOMEONE EACH DAY AND THEY LOVE HAVING A LITTLE BIT OF CONVERSATION.
